Simon is Managing Director, Global Co-Head of Real Estate Research and Head of UK Real Estate at DWS and brings 20 years of industry experience.

Simon joined DWS in 2011 where he went on to become Head of European Research and Strategy for Alternatives before stepping up into his current position, leading a team of researchers located across key global markets. Simon is responsible for leading the DWS global house view process, wherein the firm’s research convictions are translated into clear, actionable guidance for portfolio construction.

He is also responsible for developing key market calls and investment strategies that support sustained market outperformance. He is a member of both regional and global investment committees for DWS and has held a position on the DWS Alternatives Group Limited board since 2024.

He is a regular contributor to industry discussions and publications on real estate market themes. Prior to joining DWS, Simon led market research as UK listed REIT Hammerson, having started his career as an economist at the Centre for Economics and Business Research. Simon holds a BSc in Politics and Economics and an MSc in Economics from the University of Bristol, and the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).
